The British Psychological Society is the UK's representative body for psychology and psychologists, and needed a brand identity as distinctive as the discipline itself. Taking inspiration from brain activity imagery, the new identity uses fluid, organic shapes in a flexible, multi-layered system.

A lack of consistency amongst materials and a dated looking design system that didn't really work for digital called for a fresh approach.



Taking inspiration from typical brain activity imagery I created a whole identity based on these fluid, organic shapes. There are an array of shapes, colour and treatments to choose from, along with other design elements that when fully realised creates a multi-layered identity that is both flexible, engaging and memorable.

A rich multi-layered, flexible identity that took what could have been quite a dry subject matter and raised it into a unique brand identity system and range of materials.
